February 7, 2010 Reading snacks
When you are hunkering down to read for hours and you find yourself preparing your reading space to be there for a while, what snacks are you bringing with you?
I like a cold water in case I get tired, but tea is always the preferred beverage and shortbread cookies are great with tea.
What are your reading snacks?

Give me a nice glass of red wine or port, or a gin and tonic. =D

I like Chips and Salsa as well as a nice cold glass of water and/or a beer.

Sounds like most people are chip and salsa fans.

Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA; red wine, scotch and my never fail — coffee.

I am a big beer fan, but I can only drink it while reading if I am out. If I am at home I get too sleepy, too quickly and do not end up being very productive.

chocolate and coffee. 🙂 although shortbread is nice, as long as it’s dipped in chocolate, or on a plate with chocolate.
alternately, salty snacks like cheese and crackers, chips and salsa or popcorn are nice, with a glass of iced water.

ooh, good ones, too. After making that post I walked away thinking why I didn’t post coffee since truthfully that is what I am drinking most of the time when reading. Coffee or a glass of red wine. That’s me most days. And now that I think about it more, brie and crackers is my absolutely favorite snack. Add pear slices to that plate and a glass of wine and I am set for the night!

I’m not a big chips fan myself, but the hot chocolate and shortbread or ginger cookies sounds wonderful. Now I will have to go and buy some more hot chocolate. I’ve got a big stack of books I want to get through this month.

I like hot chocolate and shortbread cookies, ginger ones if I can find them. And in the afternoon chips and salsa.
